Psalm 139:13-14, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (NIV)

You are important in the eyes of God, we know this because you’re made in His image (Genesis 1:27). If you read the full chapter of Psalm 139, David says how God carefully put him together in his mother’s womb and knew him. This is the same for us. God carefully created and developed us in our mother’s womb, and He knows us, intimately, lovingly, and unconditionally. On the sixth day, God created man, and in Genesis 1:31, “God saw all that He had made, and it was very good”. On all other days, God saw what He made as good, but it wasn’t until He made man that it was very good. I want to encourage you today to understand you are precious in God’s eyes, and nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39). Another reason we know we are valuable to God, is because He sent His only Son to die on the cross for our sins, so that our relationship with Him could be restored through faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16Romans 5:8, 10, 19).

During this time of solitude, seek God with all your heart, mind and soul. Ask Him for a deeper relationship with Him that can’t be shaken, He will delight to answer the sincere prayers of His saints. I’d also encourage you to be grateful, there are so many reasons to give thanks.

Please take the time out to read Psalm 139 today and meditate on it. I pray it’s uplifting to you.

Dear Father, thank You for Your love and care when forming me. Thank You for Your promise to never leave me or forsake me. Help me to always remember that I am valuable to You, and that nothing can separate me from Your love. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
