2 Thessalonians 2

Highlighting –  “And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.” (v.8)

Have you ever stopped to think and marvel at the thought of seeing Jesus Christ face to face? Sometimes I do and I’m in awe while imagining it. He is the epitome of beauty, grace, love, forgiveness, sacrifice, glory, and power. He is so powerful that his breath alone will defeat the enemy, the anti-Christ (although we Christians know the enemy BEEN defeated, but in this case, it will be the final destruction of the devil. Revelation 20:14). Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection overcame sin and the grave, that we who believe in Him can experience resurrection in Him (John 11:25-26). Jesus Christ will return to take all those who have faith in Him to Heaven. There will be much tribulation during that time for unbelievers, but for us, there will be no more pain, no more tears, only joy in the presence of our Savior and Father, God (Revelation 21:1-7). I want to encourage you, who might be feeling a bit discouraged with your life right now to consider the glory of Jesus Christ and how awesome it will be to meet Him. I promise that will lift your spirit and take your mind off the negative, as you look towards the blessing of eternity with Him.

One day everything around us will be gone, and we will forget what it means to suffer. I look forward to that day.

Dear Father, thank You because no matter what issues I face today, one day it will end. Thank You because I can look forward to eternity with You in Heaven, all by Your grace towards me. Thank You for Your love that brought Jesus Christ to die for me. Today, I walk in His resurrection and by the power of the Holy Spirit at work in me, so I will always be victorious. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
