2 Timothy 1:7, “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” (NIV)

As today’s verse says, to all believers in Christ, God did not give you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. God is telling you not to be fearful of what you’re currently facing or what you imagine is happening to you, because He’s given you His Spirit, who now dwells in you. Greater is He that lives in you, than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). For this reason, God has given us authority over snakes, scorpions and the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19), walk in that authority today!

You are already victorious over any persecution or difficult situation that may come your way because God is handling it. In addition, because He lives in you, He will give you His peace and strength to endure. Man can do nothing to you unless permitted by God. And if He allows them to persecute you, know that He is doing it to prove His power in the situation, and eventually it will come to an end – trust me.

Wait on the Lord. Trust Him. Know that in Him, you have power, protection, and peace. He will come through, and He will show out for you, all that’s required of you is that you be still (Exodus 14:14). Then your enemies will see and testify, you serve the one true God and He has granted you victory.

Dear Father, thank You in advance for the victory You’re preparing for me. I give You all the glory. Help me to walk in the confidence that Your Spirit gives me – I have nothing to fear. You’re Alpha and Omega, You’re the beginning and the end, You are faithful to fight for Your children. I rebuke any spirit of fear aiming to discourage me and debilitate me. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
