Highlighting – “In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (v. 6)
Today’s devotion is inspired by what a friend shared in a group message this morning. God wants to be involved in every aspect of your life – invite Him in. God is omniscient, meaning He knows everything, past, present and future. You would be wise to pray about even the small details of your life, seeking His understanding in the matter because He sees beyond what you can see. God knows if that decision you’re about to make, if it will be for the benefit of you, your family, and those who are in your life. Realize the decisions we make don’t only affect us. God also knows if that decision will bring your downfall. Whatever you’re going to face today, whatever choice you need to make, ask Him to show you what to do. Our Father in Heaven cares about everything concerning His children. In the highlighted verse it says that He will make your paths straight – God will never steer you wrong. Approach the situation in fervent prayer and He will guide you. Just make sure, you’re ready to obey.
Dear Father, I invite you into my dealings today. Please order my steps according to Your Word. I know that Your thoughts are higher than my thoughts, so Your counsel is the best for me. Help me to obey Your commands because in my obedience to You will I find real joy. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
