Isaiah 40:31, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (NIV)

Are you feeling a bit down, discouraged, lost hope? I want to encourage you to place your hope in God. Sometimes when we’re experiencing a negative feeling about a possible outcome, we must check ourselves and ask, where am I putting my trust and hope? If it’s in man, then just give up because people will often disappoint you (Psalm 146:3). Today, put your hope and trust in God, even in His “no” there is goodness. How is there good in God’s “no”? Because Psalm 84 verse 11 says, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” So, when God gives you a “no” as an answer to your prayers, know that in His omniscience it wouldn’t be good for you, but trust in His promises that He will give you His best. Hope in the Lord means giving Him room to do His thing because deep down inside you have faith in Him.

Are you feeling tired these days or mentally drained? You could be operating out of your own strength and not the Lord’s. Turn your focus to God and intentionally place your hope in Him. Pray and read your Bible to remind yourself of the promises of God. Trust me, the burden you’re feeling right now will become lighter (Matthew 11:28-30). When you place your hope in God, your attitude will improve…as Isaiah 40:31 says, hope in the Lord will renew your strength, you will not faint nor grow weary…

Dear Father, I believe in Your ability to come through for me. Help me to stop trying to control my circumstances and put my full trust and hope in You, You are the God of the impossible. Thank You in advance for working behind the scenes for me. Thank You for my deliverance. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
