Genesis 22:14, “ So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.” (NIV)

If God has called you to it, He will make provision and equip you to do it. You may not see in the natural the means to accomplish something but know that God is manifesting it supernaturally. What’s important in the verse for today’s devotion are the words “on the mountain of the Lord it will be provided”, meaning in His will or the course He has directed you on, He will supply your every need. Additionally, there’s much blessing in obeying God, as well as giving back to God what He has blessed us with. For instance, Genesis 22:15 – 18 says, “The angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, “I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.” The fact that He purposed in his heart to do exactly as the Lord said, unlocked God’s provision. Additionally, even though Isaac was his “only” son and the promised son (through whom Abraham was to have many descendants), he still did what God told him to do without hesitation. Abraham knew that if God could give him this blessing in the form of a son at an old age, then there is nothing He can’t do, and he trusted giving the promise back to God (Hebrews 11:17-19). May we have this same trust in God as Abraham did.

Be encouraged. That business you don’t believe you have the funds to start, if God ordained you to begin that business, walk in obedience and get started. He will provide the finances right on time for you to launch. As God did for Elijah. Where God directed Elijah to go, there He provided drink and ordered the ravens to feed him (1 Kings 17:2-6).

What is God telling you to do today? Do it, and don’t doubt that God will be with you along the way. All you have to do is ensure you obey everything He says. And remember to bless God with what He’s blessed you with.

Dear Father, thank You for Your love. You declare that You have plans for me, not to harm me but to prosper me. Help me to trust in You and obey You. I know Your will for me is the best for me. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
