Job 42:2, “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” (NIV)
Nothing in our lives happens outside of God’s sovereignty. What gives me comfort in that fact is that everything must go through Him for it to come to pass. Additionally, because all things are in submission to Him, whatever plan He has for our lives cannot be destroyed by any demon, person or thing. Isaiah 14:27 says, “The Lord of Hosts has purposed, and who can thwart Him? His hand is outstretched, so who can turn it back?” God has plans for your life, despite any difficulty you may be experiencing now. We must grow in our trust in Him. Everything we go through has a purpose, and if we learn the lessons we’re being taught through our situations, it’ll make our deliverance (or reaching our goal) that much sweeter. We’ll have the wisdom necessary (from our experiences), to steward the blessing well.
Are you questioning whether God will bring His promise over your life to fruition? Please read Isaiah 55:10-13, which says that what God speaks does not return to Him empty. The same way God spoke the world and everything in it into exist, is the same way the word He pronounces over your life will succeed. You are His child, and He has the victory, meaning you already have the victory if you remain in His will for you. Be sure that it’s His will you’re leaning on, and not your own will.
Dear Father, I delight in Your sovereignty. I’m thankful that You’ve already won the battle for me. Help me to discern Your will from my own and walk in Your promises for me. I desire to be completely in alignment with You. Help me to trust You more. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
Amen
