Isaiah 43:18-21

Highlighting – “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (v. 19)

We are officially three days into a new year and a new decade – praise the Lord! Many people did not make it to the year 2020, but thank God, we have. You may not realize it yet, but God is doing a new thing in your life. Sometimes, we don’t think God hears our prayers, but He does. We need to learn to wait well while we pray, knowing that His answer is on the way. Are you ready to receive what He is doing for you? Is your faith strong enough to see it before the complete manifestation of what He is accomplishing in your life? When you think God is distant or He doesn’t hear your prayers, get into the Word of God and remind yourself of His promises to you. He is working behind the scenes right now, just for you! What attitude do you have in the “waiting room”? And when your name is called to receive what you’ve been asking Him for, will you be ready for the blessing? Pray for preparation while you wait.

Remember to thank God in all circumstances (good and bad), as you wait for Him to answer your prayers. Then when you receive the blessing or deliverance, keep your eyes fixed on Him, do not neglect the Blesser and Sustainer of all things (Matthew 6:33).

Dear Father, thank You in advance for this blessing You have in store for me. Help me to be ready for what You’re about to do for me. I want to steward the blessing well, and still keep my eyes on You long after I receive the blessing I’ve prayed for. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
