1 Corinthians 15:21 – 24

Highlighting – “22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.” (v. 22 – 23)

Did you know that as a believer in Jesus Christ you don’t die? Now, I don’t mean in the physical sense, due to sin, everyone will die at some point and through sin there is spiritual death as well (Romans 6:23). But, one of the many gifts associated with accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, is that you are given eternal life in Him. Though you die physically, you will resurrect and be given a new glorious body in Heaven. What an awesome promise from God? One day, you and I, will be raised into Heaven! It gets no better than that.

We have a great hope that can’t be taken away from us. This hope is granted through believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus Christ died on the cross for us, then resurrected three days later (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). He overcame sin and death, and we have overcome too, through Him (1 Corinthians 15:55-57). How my heart desires that more people would understand the blessings tied to being the child of God through faith in Christ (Acts 4:12). May those of us who have already come to believe always remember, everything we do while on this earth is to give Him glory and counts towards eternity. Even if there is tribulation in this present life, remember, the ultimate goal is to reign with Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 2:12a) – don’t lose sight of that. Be encouraged saints.

Dear Father, help us to remember that everything we do today will count towards eternity. Help us to remain encouraged in the hope of resurrection, and reigning in Heaven with Jesus Christ. We have much to be grateful for, help us to keep our minds focused on You and Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
