Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”

As human beings our tendency is to want to take control over situations. But when you become a Christian, you realize the importance in letting God be God. We only stress ourselves out when we try to take things into our own hands, but when we approach God in prayer and trust that He will fulfill His promises towards us, life seems to be so much sweeter. We must remind ourselves that God is sovereign, He sees all (including the future), knows all, and wants the best for us – so why wouldn’t we lean on Him? In the end, He will do a far better job than us anyways seeing as our understanding is limited. I know sometimes it’s easier said than done, but it’s time that we cease striving. It’s time that we stop worrying about the outcome and let God do what He does best, work everything out for the good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes (Romans 8:28). He always had you, remember that. God is not man that He should lie, He can do the impossible and He is your Helper.

Let’s do more praising and worshipping in 2019 than complaining!

Dear Father, thank You for all You’ve done for me and what You are about to do for me. Thank You because You always prove to be true to Your character and remain faithful to Your children. Please help me to trust in You more with each day and be still. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
